ON SUCCESS
I believe that success is a pathway to your ultimate destination, and although I am thankfull to have achieved success in many areas of my personal and professional life, I haven't arrived at my ultimate destination... yet.
I'd like to believe I'm on the right path, with each new success bringing me one step closer -Thank You Lord JESUS!
Why am I sharing this with you? To encourage you.
Do you need encouragement? I know I do... WE ALL DO!
ON FACING LIFE'S CHALLENGES
My thoughts on this issue; regardless of the distance to your ultimate destination..., you can get there... you know you can... you will get there... you know you will... the more you believe it, the closer you are to achieving it! You can go that distance... is what I fed myself during the training preparation for my biggest challenge - the London Marathon (running 42km). Coincidentally this is very similar to the title of my first book
It is titled 'U Know U Can Go The Distance'.
ON INTEGRITY
Do I qualify to say all this about success and life challenges? Well, I guess that's a matter of opinion. How much money do I have in the bank? That's my business, but is money a measure of success, that's a question for you to answer. Like everyone else, I too face challenges and come up against obstacles, but time, life and wisdom from God has taught me that it is my ability to recognise where I am, acknowledge what I am up against, identify what lesson(s) I need to learn and strategise my way forward that sets me apart from many. More importantly, I don't only talk the talk, I walk the walk;
I practise what I preach!

In July 2000, I founded Distinctly Different and we incorporated in August 2003. Next year Distinctly Different will be in its 10th year of business.
Over the years Distinctly Different has experienced growth and expansion which has enabled them to evolve into an organisation which specialises in Personal Development Learning for the Business and Education sectors.

While I may be the founder and CEO of Distinctly Different I have invested in acquiring highly skilled professionals that deliver the services to you... our diverse client group.
I love my work because it provides me with the opportunity to impact on the lives of the people with whom I come into contac, and through my work I am able to make a difference, challenge perceptions, change perspectives and develop mindsets.
ON MY MISSION IN LIFE
1. SEASON / ADD TO - and in no way reduce or diminish the people with whom I come into contact. The Bible in Matthew 5:13 calls us the 'salt of the earth'.
2. SMOOTH / REFINE - every rough diamond (person) with whom I come into contact, so that they can shine brightly as God purposed. The Bible Matthew 5:14 calls us the 'light of the world'.
3. SHARPEN / DEVELOP PEOPLE - particularly those who are already on track. The Bible says in Proverbs 27:17 that 'iron sharpens iron'. This is what happens when we share ideas, rub minds and affect each other so that we can collectively achieve more.
AH-TT ON FULFILMENT
Am I fulfilled? Fulfilment comes from knowing who you are.
Do I know who I am? Finally I can say YES... I do know who I am.
Fulfilment comes from the realisation of your purpose, your calling. Do I know what my purpose is? Yes, now I do, but like many, I haven't always known so I spent a lot of time learning and searching.
Fulfilment comes as you walk into your destiny.
Am I walking into my destiny? Now I am, and it's only possible because I know who I am and I know what my purpose is.
Now let me now ask you this...
ARE YOU FULFILLED?
DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?
DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR PURPOSE IS?
ARE YOU WALKING INTO YOUR DESTINY?
As you answer these questions be honest, keep it real and stay true to yourself. Mistakes happen in life they always do, but it's what you learn from them that enables you to leap off your mistakes and propel yourself into that bright future, which is ultimately the most valuable part of your whole experience.
My second published book, 'U Step To Walk... Then Run', is full of tips on how to achieve this. I hope you derive as much inspiration from reading it as I did from writing it.
