ENTRY 1
I am happy to say that I've ushered in 2011 by finally updating and hopefully improving my website. I'll do my best to add interesting news and share some of my passions, stories, thoughts and perspectives with you through the route this site and a route previously detested... blogging!
Also in 2011, I have come out of the closet and embraced the creative entreprenuer in me; something you'll see more of in 2011 and beyond. I'm also really keen to get my teeth into improving on my PR and Marketing skills so that I can support my organisation - Distinctly Different Limited in achieving its growth strategy for 2011/14. Finally, I predict that this will be a busy year, but I have committed to giving myself some invaluable 'me time' regardless, so please try and do the same!
ENTRY 2
During the latter part of last year, I was invited by Helene Martin Gee to join the fabulous Pink Shoe Club as an Ambassador Member. It has always been a desire of mine to find a network which celebrated the things which I value and love to celebrate – Women; Wonderful Women! I love femininity and cherish the power of my own woman. There are so many wonderful women who have become powerful doing the phenomenal things they do in their personal and professional lives, but there are many more whose contributions and efforts go unnoticed. I believe in making a difference in whichever way I can and being a force for change, and so do all the sincerely spirited people who collectively form this amazing network; this is why I accepted the invitation with delight! Use the link below to visit the website and find out more about what we do at the Pink Shoe Club or drop us a line, with the support of our super efficient friend and member Sheila Williamson at info@pinkshoeclub.com we will get back to you without delay!
ENTRY 3
So far this year I can honestly say my faith has been tested like I would wish upon no other! Keeping my focus on the proverbial prize is what has kept me going. I have had to embrace the tide of change and deal with the emotional roller coaster which it swept long on. To God be ALL GLORY, HONOUR and PRAISE that I'm still standing ,which simply means my job isn't done and the best is yet to come! Through this experience I have had the privilege to meet some amazing people Emma (see link below), Viv, Lisa, Jonet and the amazing Growing Cornwall Project, who are all doing wonderful things in their businesses. Following my period of introspection I had to clean up and clear out and get my house/business in order for whatever is coming next. Lots of pruning has been taking place in my life with the beauty of it being I feel light and free. How awesome is that? So I although I can't see what's coming next, I do know that I can feel it, I don't know what's round the corner but I do know whatever it is, it's just what I need. As frustrating as life can sometimes be, when you know who is in your driving seat you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ride, whixh is what I intend to do... catch you later.
